Located at 830 Kingston Pike, Barthelmas Park is approximately 35 acres in size. Although Barthelmas is not as easy for people to walk to, it is a busy park during the months it is open. It is home to the youth soccer that offers programs in both the spring and fall. On the weekends in the fall the park is generally full and finding a parking space is a challenge.
Barthelmas Park currently offers both youth soccer and youth baseball programs.
Youth Soccer is one of the largest groups that use Barthelmas Park. They run 2 seasons, one each in the spring and fall. The Soccer league also sponsors a traveling team and hosts several tournaments throughout the park season. The diamond use during the summer is at a premium. Diamond use is scheduled in February with few dates left open. Between practices and games all 5 diamonds get a lot of play.
Barthelmas Park received a generous gift from the Sunrise Rotary in 2014. The Sunrise Rotary purchased and helped install a new, large piece of playground equipment. This was a great addition to the current playground area.
